Some events in 2024

I’ve been remiss at updating this site, and for that, I apologize. Please find me on Facebook, which I update more often.

Here are some events I’ll be doing in 2024:

On Thursday, April 18, I’ll be doing a virtual chat with Vietnamese Australian writer, Nam Le, whose new book, 36 Ways to Write a Vietnamese Poem, deals with race, masculinity, identity, and history. Organized by Magers and Quinn. You have to pre-register for it, but it’s free.

On Monday, April 29, come celebrate the release of New York Times Bestseller Joanna Ho’s new book, We Who Produce Pearls. I’ll be a part of a roundtable at Red Balloon Bookshop with Johanna, as well as two local Asian Americans who need no introduction: Kao Kalia Yang and Eliza Rasheed. Space is limited, so you need to preregister.

On Thursday, May 2, I’ll be the keynote speaker for Century College’s Celebrating Asian American Heritage Month Event.

On Monday, May 20, Gaithersburg Library (Maryland). MCPL celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a visit from Vietnamese American children’s author Bao Phi, Monday, 5/20 at 6pm at Gaithersburg Library. Register at mcpl.events/bao-phi today!

On Thursday, May 30, I’ll be on a panel, In Praise of Single Fathers, as a part of the More Than A Single Story series, curated by Carolyn Holbrook. 6 pm to 7:30 pm, Highland Park Library, Saint Paul, MN
